⭐️⭐️⭐️
On Tuesday evening our Book Club had a brilliant time, meeting up to discuss our March Book of the Month - 'No one saw a thing by Andrea Mara'. Hard to believe that when we started the club in September that there were just the two of us and NOW each month we seem to have another new face joining the gang! How lucky we are too, that each member is so lovely, funny, and amazing! What a club!
A big positive is that we all seem to favour different genres of literature so we're often going out of our comfort zone and exploring something new!
The members who love crime/thriller books absolutely adored 'No one saw a thing'. and are now hastily trying to track down everything Andrea Mara has written as a result - probably even shopping lists if they can find them!
The whole group enjoyed the pace of the book and it is by far the quickest the group has read a book. This was mostly due to the gripping writing style and each chapter having an ending which is impossible to leave! Excellent character development in the story made us feel we wouldn't like to have a lot of the people in the book as friends, but we did think Jude's progression from pushy journalist initially to key player made her our favourite character!
We awarded this compelling, page turner 3 stars in our group vote, and recommend it!
Next Meeting April 30th at the Coleham Tap
